(Lam Chun Kei, Lin Chen-Chi)
Actress
Lin Chen Chi, whose name means "precious forest", was a vibrant young Shaw Brothers
starlet in the 1970's. She worked with famed kung fu movie directors Lau Kar Leung and
Chang Cheh and actors such as Wong Yu, Danny Lee and Ti Lung. In 1976 she
co-starred in the prostitution melodrama The Girlie Bar.
The fresh, photogenic actress raised eyebrows with her role as a violent hellraiser in
Tsui Hark's third film, Dangerous Encounter- 1st Kind (1980), a disturbing thriller
which was initially banned before being re-edited.
Lin Chen Chi retired from acting many years ago and became a mother. Today she helps
run 'The Steak Expert' restaurant and bar chain in Hong Kong with its owner, her husband.
Their celebrity clientele includes her former colleague, Lau Kar Leung.
